Make Your Own Wrap Cardigan – Tilly and the Buttons PEARL Pattern

On this course you will learn to create your own wrap cardigan using the Tilly and the Buttons – PEARL pattern. You will learn how to make minor adjustments to your pattern so that the cardigan and pattern offer you the perfect fit! Your pattern is included in the course fee so you will also get to keep your pattern so that you can make more wrap cardigans for months and years to come.
We will break about half way through each session for refreshments, as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body therefore it’s only natural that there will be plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits/cake to keep us going!
This course is made up of three, 3 hour sessions on 3/12, 10/12 & 17/12.
Materials required:
For the Short Sleeve Version – Size 6 – 14 – 1.8m of 140 wide fabric. If size 16 – 24 – 2.3m of 140 cm wide fabric
For the Long Sleeve Version – Size 6 – 14 – 2.1m of 140 wide fabric. If size 16 – 24 – 2.8m of 140 cm wide fabric
2 x reels matching thread – we recommend Gutermann Polyester Sew all threads.
1 x packet ballpoint needles size 18/12 and /19/14 – we recommend Schmetz as a brand of good machine needles.
Session 1
Check sizes, cut out and adjust your pattern.
Lay and cut out all the pieces, start stitching.
Session 2
Top stitching details
Inserting sleeves.
Session 3
Attaching cuffs.
Finish all top stitching.
Level: 1 – 2 Beginner and Intermediate
