Memorable Woven Tie Waistcoat

Transform pre-loved ties by learning to weave them together to create a beautiful, stylish, completely unique waistcoat. It could be that you have ties from a family member, or from moments that have made special memories in your life. This course gives you the opportunity to repurpose them giving them a new lease on life and gifting you the pleasure of remembering those precious times or person.
The technique is fun and will be illustrated in a set of 3 tailored sessions, which form the memorable woven tie waistcoat course.
Please note that to be able to create this garment you will have prep to complete at home.
We will break about half way through each session for tea, coffee and cake to keep us going as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body. However, if you have any dietary or allergy requirements, please do let us know in advance so we can try and cater accordingly.
This course will run over three weeks, made up of three, 3 hour sessions on 01/05, 08/05 & 15/05.
Materials required for the workshop:
A set of 10 ties.
Two shirts that are not being used or two pillow cases for the backing fabric
Your usual sewing tool kit.
Level: 2-3. This is an intermediate level class, and not suitable for complete beginners. You will need to have some knowledge of sewing and how to use the sewing machine. If you have sewn years ago and want to freshen up this is a great way to do just that.
