This class has been specifically designed with little girls in mind and for the sense of satisfaction and pride a mum, granny or nan receives from seeing them wearing the cute creation that has so lovingly been made especially for them.
There’s nothing nicer than making a pretty little dress for your little one and having others ask “Where did you get that dress?” only to be able to answer…. “ I MADE IT!”
If you would like to learn to make a little girls Summer dress, then this class will be perfect for you. Learn to sew, be creative & make a gorgeous little Summer dress that’s perfect for that little princess.
We will break about half way through each session for refreshments, as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body therefore it’s only natural that there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake to keep us going!
Session 1
- Laying out and cutting
- Laying out and cutting all associated parts as well as starting to stitch together some of the seams
Materials required for Session 1:
Please email me with the size you wish to make, and I can advise on the required lengths of fabrics, matching threads, zippers, buttons, etc.
Session 2
- Continue to put the dress together
- Insert zippers and buttons and button holes as required, finishing and hems
Level: 2-3. This is an intermediate level class, and not suitable for complete dressmaking beginners. You will need to have some knowledge of sewing and seam allowances and what they mean, or have done the Intermediate Sewing Course and or Introduction to Dressmaking Course. If you have sewn years ago and want to freshen up this is a great way to do just that.
