If you have made cushions before and want to learn how to make your own piping and sew it in correctly then this is the perfect workshop for you! This is a great workshop to do if you are new to sewing or have sewn before and would like to learn how to make your own piped cushion from start to finish.
During the workshop you will learn how to make your own bias binding and using cord, make up your own pipping, cut and sew it together as well as inserting a zipper into the cushion cover.
We will break about half way through for refreshments, as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body therefore it’s only natural that there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake to keep us going!
Materials required for Session:
- 0.50m x 115cm or 140cm wide fabric for cushion
- 0.50m x 115cm or 140cm wide fabric for piping
- 2.10m length of 5mm cord
- 1 x 40cm Zipper
- Matching thread for applique and cushion
