Do you love a pashmina or poncho, but sometimes struggle to find the right colour or fabric design? Well then, this is the perfect class to take to learn how to make your very own Poncho-Pash.
This is a great class to join to learn how to Line a garment, work with stretch fabric and end up with a very chic piece of clothing that can really enhance an outfit, that’s comfortable and very sophisticated.
If you are also anything like me, and love the whole “Mini-me” look, then its great to make a matching one for a little person in your life. I know my daughter just loves hers!
There’s nothing nicer than making a piece of clothing and being asked “Where did you get that from?” only to be able to answer…. “ I MADE IT!”
If you would like to learn to make a Poncho-Pash, then this class will be perfect for you. Learn to sew, be creative & make a sophisticated cover up that makes you feel glamorous.
This is a great class for all skill levels. Perfect for complete Beginners all the way through to Advanced skill levels.
We will break about half way through each session for refreshments, as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body therefore it’s only natural that there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake to keep us going!
What’s involved:
- Laying out and cutting all associated parts of the fabric and lining
- Stitch together all the seams of the fabric and lining layers
- Join together at the neckline and learn how to finish the neckline
- Complete the lining and learn to miter corners and close up the lining
Materials required for Session:
For an adult size:
If the fabric width is 140 cm you will need 1 x meter of fabric for the outer side.
If the fabric width measures 112 cm wide then you will need 1.80 x meters of fabric.
If the fabric you choose for the lining is 140 cm wide, then you will need 1 x meter of fabric for the lining.
If the fabric you choose for the lining is 112 cm wide, then you will need 2 x meters of fabric for the lining.
NB:If you are buying a stretch fabric for the outer, make sure your lining is stretchy as well and that it stretches in a similar way to that of the outer fabric.
