“The Quilters Hive” is a quilting class held at the Studio in Byfleet, led by Michele Webster.
“The Quilters Hive” provides a fun and relaxed group sewing environment where you are free to learn how to make whatever it is you would like with expert guidance and support. Michele is at hand to help you at whatever skill level you are at to add to your quilting knowledge and confidence, enabling you to make fantastic creations and have a bundle of fun along the way.
We have sewing machines available for use during the session, but if you do have your own sewing machine, I would recommend you bring it along so that you can become more and more confident in using your machines features.
Michele will oversee the class, helping you along the way, offering advice, showing you a new or different technique that will help you grow in confidence to keep quilting and pushing yourself to try new things more and more.
It may be you want to refine a certain skill, work on a project or learn how to master a technique that may just have you befuddled or you have been wanting to quilt in a group environment with other people who are also passionate about quilting.
You get to be as creative as you like and work on a project of your choosing.
We will break about half way through for refreshments and cake, as sewing is thirsty work for mind and body therefore it’s only natural that there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake to keep us going!
Materials required for Session: Bring along your pattern and all relevant fabrics, trims, etc.
For all quilting courses, students are to provide their own sewing materials and resources. Please see the link below, for the suggested items in no special order.
